Club Organization

Governance

Manhattan Junior Crew exists along side Kansas State Men’s Crew and Manhattan Community Rowing Club as members of Kansas State Rowing Association.  KSRA manages the boathouse, equipment, and USRowing insurance with a Board of Directors, made up of community members and former or current rowers.  MJC, KSMC, and MCRC each have their own constitutions and Executive Boards to govern their operations, but work together within one boathouse to promote competition and the sport of rowing in this area.

Parents of MJC rowers are encouraged to volunteer on the MJC or KSRA boards, as all these organizations depend on volunteers to function.

Funding

Manhattan Junior Crew is a nonprofit organization.

As one of the three crews governed by the Kansas State Rowing Association, our equipment, insurance, travel, coaching, and incidentals are all paid for by the participants’ seasonal dues or else by donations from family and friends of the club.

If you would like to help keep the cost of rowing manageable for area high school students, any amount of donation is appreciated!

Check out our Boathouse Wishlist for ways you can benefit KSRA as a whole.

If you prefer to donate specifically to MJC, click below or contact the coaches for more info on how you can help…
