MJC Update: Week of 8/5/2018

Aug 14th: MHS Open house. Boats will be loaded on the trailer at practice that morning, and delivered to each campus between 4:30 and 5pm. We’ll need volunteers to talk to incoming families during the entire event from 6pm to 8pm, operating in shifts to allow the volunteers to find their own classes as well.

Aug 19th: Boathouse open house. 4-7pm come and go. We’ll have food and equipment for interested families to check out, and an opportunity to get in a boat for both parents and potential rowers.
Aug 25th: Outdoor Kansas Kid’s Day. We’ve been invited to have a booth at this event and promote our club to local families, similar to our booth at Little Apple Paddle. We’ll need a couple rowers to help out.
Aug 30th-31st: Purple Power Play on Poyntz. We’re looking into getting a table here. It would be in City Park both Thursday and Friday from 5pm to 9pm. This is still TBD.

Looking Ahead

Aug 10: Summer ends
Aug 15: First day of school
Aug 20: Fall Begins

Changes To Practice

Aug 13-17 is optional while we are between seasons. We will also switch to 3:15-5:15pm on Aug 15th.
